SAYRE LOG CABIN RESTORATION AT Washington Lands Riverfront Park

            Sealed bids will be received by the Ravenswood Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners (BOPARC) of Ravenswood, West Virginia, at the Municipal Complex, 1 Wall Street, Ravenswood, West Virginia, 26164, until 4:00 P.M., EDT, on the 17th day, February 2026, for the restoration and repair of the Sayre Log Cabin located at the Washington Lands Riverfront Park. A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on the 9th day of February, 2026, to tour the Sayre Log Cabin and review the bid specifications. Contractors planning to bid on this project shall meet at the Ravenswood Municipal Complex, 1 Wall Street, Ravenswood, West Virginia, 26164 at noon. 

            On 17 February 2026 at 6:00 P.M., all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Ravenswood Annex by BOPARC at 600 Sycamore Street.

            Complete specifications will be open to public inspection or copies may be secured at The Ravenswood Municipal Complex, 1 Wall Street, Ravenswood, West Virginia, 26164 or on-line at https://www.cityofravenswood.com.

            Each bidder must tender with their proposal a certified check or bid bond, payable to the City of Ravenswood, West Virginia, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of their total proposal. Bid Security will be returned to unsuccessful bidders ten (10) days following opening of bid. The Bid Security of the successful bidder will be retained until they execute a surety bond for performance of the contract. If the successful bidder cannot furnish surety bond within ten (10) days following the award of the contract, their Bid Security shall be forfeited to the City of Ravenswood, West Virginia. All bonds must be counter-signed by a West Virginia resident agent. A successful bidder shall be licensed to do business in the State of West Virginia and shall obtain a business license from the City of Ravenswood prior to commencing work on the project. Successful bidders shall provide proof of liability insurance to the City prior to commencing work.

            The Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners and the City of Ravenswood, West Virginia, reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid.
