City Council

As the premier legislative body of Ravenswood, our City Council provides a link between our citizens and their government. We enact legislation that fosters the health, safety, and welfare of our entire city. Our goal is to represent the interests of our residents while also ensuring the delivery of all municipal services. The City Council is responsible for not only controlling the City’s property and finances, but also the appropriation of money.

Meetings

The City Council regularly holds meetings in City Hall that are open for public attendance and comment. Our typical monthly meeting schedule for council is the 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month, but those can change from time to time.  We meet at 7:00pm in Council Chambers on the third floor.

Citizen Participation

Participation in local city government is encouraged by our mayor and city council. We value the voice of our citizens and welcome feedback from our residents at every meeting.  Come speak in our Public Forum we hold every city council meeting.  To learn more, please feel free to contact Ravenswood City Hall at 304-273-2621.
