Ravenswood 'Old Town' Historic District Design Guidelines – Community Open House

Tuesday, February 17, 2026 - 6:00pm to 7:00pm

The City of Ravenswood has launched a project to create updated Historic District Design Guidelines for the Old Town Historic District. The City is partnering with Designing Local, a planning and historic preservation firm, to develop clear, user-friendly guidance for maintaining, repairing, and improving historic properties.

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, Designing Local will be in Ravenswood to host an open house and introductory presentation prior to the City Council meeting. This event will introduce the project, explain what the guidelines are intended to do, and provide an opportunity for residents and property owners to share early input.

The open house will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber Lobby (3rd floor), City Hall, 1 Wall Street.

Residents and property owners within the Old Town Historic District are especially encouraged to attend. This is an early opportunity to learn about the process and help shape how the guidelines will work in practice.
