Celebrate Mother's Day with a delightful afternoon tea at Washington's Riverfront Park and the Great Bend Museum. Treat your mom to a special event filled with delicious treats, soothing teas, and quality time together. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the park in springtime while sipping on a warm cup of tea and indulging in sweet and savory refreshments provided by Ravenswood's own Bakery and Cafe. Then explore the history of women's clothing with "What's Under There? Demystifying Victorian Fashion." Costumer, historical fiction author, and historical dance teacher Jeanette Watts will take us on a detailed exploration of what women were wearing in the late 1800s, how they wore it, and why. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum's clothing stores to learn more about what people wore here in Ravenswood 140 years ago.
In keeping with the historic fashion theme, the dress code is "Wear Your Mother's Jewelry."
Tickets are $25 and cover tea, refreshments, and the tour and presentation
