Oral histories are personal accounts of people's experiences, memories, and perspectives, shared through spoken word. We collect them to preserve diverse voices and enrich our understanding of history and culture from a firsthand perspective. This training will give you the tools to contribute to preserving our community's rich history by collecting the oral histories of friends, family, and neighbors with remarkable stories to tell. The event is free and open to everybody.
